Au Congo, l’école Michel Gobin à Brazzaville

Les oeuvres des Fils de la Charité

Depuis des années, la paroisse de Ndunzia Mpungu sur la commune de M’Filou proche de Brazzaville abritait une petite école primaire d’une centaine d’élèves. Cependant, voyant la situation des enfants et des jeunes du quartier dont certains n’étaient pas du tout scolarisés, les Fils de la Charité responsables de la paroisse ont décidé de prendre les choses en main en créant l’école Michel Gobin en 2008.

Michel Gobin fc avait fait profession religieuse chez les Fils de la Charité le 5 septembre 1970. Il avait travaillé à Brazzaville de 1987 à 1991 (il fût responsable de la Branche Afrique de 1989 à 1992). Il est décédé à Issy-les-Moulineaux en 1994.

Présentation

Le complexe scolaire Michel Gobin compte quatre cycles d’enseignement : maternelle (4 classes), primaire (13 classes), collège (10 classes) et lycée (8 classes) sur deux sites.

Le nombre d’élèves étaient de 1297 pour l’année 2014-2015 du primaire à la terminale.

20 personnes travaillent à l’administration et à la gestion de l’établissement tandis que 21 maîtres et 37 professeurs enseignent.

D’une manière générale les résultats scolaires aux examens d’Etat sont satisfaisants.
